Voilà une plante à fleurs jaunes appartenant à la famille des PAPAVERACEAE (pavot et coquelicot), elle fréquente fréquemment les plages du littoral méditerranéen et de la côte atlantiques, ou les sols pauvres à l'intérieur des terres.
La longue floraison débutera en mai et se terminera en octobre, elle nous offrira un grand panel de fleurs relativement éphémères, car ces fleurs durent à peine deux jours avant de tomber et se perpétuer.
